Class Gifts

Throughout the years, each class that has graduated from Great Falls High is said to have donated a last gift to the school. The tradition started before anyone can remember and it still continues today. The donations are one of the reasons that Great Falls High School is so rich in history and school pride.

Some of the contributions include:

  • Clocks

  • Water Fountains

  • The Neon "Office" Sign

  • A Stained Glass Window

  • A Quilt Frame

  • The Legacy of the Food Pantry

  • Many More....

The most recent donation is a frame to protect a quilt made in the early 1960's by a mother of a bison student. The quilt has been redonated to the school so that students today can remember the past. The class of 2012 has chosen to donate the frame to protect the giant quilt from any further wear and tare that might occur in the halls of Great Falls High School. The class of 2012 is also donating the rest of its money to the food pantry so it is able to start with funds in it the following school year.

No one has maintained a list of the gifts that have been donated and many people cannot remember what their class donated but the earliest donation that we found was a clock dated 1931. Each of the donations has a plaque somewhere on or near it that states the year of the class that donated it.
